One major culprit often turns out to be a fence. If a fence is made out of wood or even plastic, it could turn into fuel for a wildfire. The same is true with a metal fence that has a lot of debris and leaves gathered in it. Clearing the area near your home to remove dead plants, leaves and branches can make a huge difference when a wildfire comes your way.
